Results and Conclusions

The ARM processor was designed and tested on the FPGA advantage V5.0 of Mentor Graphics corporation with success. The processor is able to reach a speed of over 8MHz while remaining stable. The processor can serve not only the ordinary interrupts but the fast interrupts too. The processor was designed to be compatible with the ARM series of microprocessors. Future Extensions: Implementing the design in Xillinx Virtex-II FPGA and test it. Optimizing the implementation in order to increase its speed and decrease the power consumption by decreasing the number of gates. Adding virtual memory support. Development of a full cache memory microprocessor. Development of a piplined design and implement it.
